stills: milk glass and marigolds

1. milk glass for Christmas.. just add tea light candles
2. afternoon light over the kitchen sink
3. an early Christmas present to myself, a little satchel. (purchased from down that little lane)
4. quinoa for a simple meal. served with caramelised onion and steamed butternut pumpkin stirred through
5. bulk marigold planting today in the hope of keeping all those seedling-munching bugs away

this week has not been the healthiest. what started as a headache this time last Sunday led to whole body aches for work on Monday and a cough that has stuck around all week. I'm on the mend now so hopefully this coming week is a lot better.

  3. The milk glass gives a candle such a gentle glow. Love it!
Your new satchel is so nice.
I don't have much luck with Marigolds, within days of planting them, something chews them to the base overnight. This year I sprinkled some Woollies minced garlic around them and have only lost one plant! They are all in bloom now! x

  4. I have been searching for an old school satchel for Sunny for her first year of school next year but can't find one that has two straps so that she can wear it on her back :( Am in love with yours! Glad to hear you're on the mend. We've been battling tonsillitis and gastro! These holidays can't come fast enough!

  8. Ooh I have that piece of milk glass too. The quinoa sounds do good. How did your mr go with it? I would love to serve this up but I think my mr would ask where the meat is. He's more if steak and three veg man. Was it a satisfying meal? I hope you feel a lot better this week Zara. Summer colds are annoying! Take care x

  16. Hope you are feeling much better Zara, lovely satchel btw. We have a few marigolds in bloom at the moment, hubby likes them so I have a few scattered here and there, just the plain yellow ones.
